For me, the highlight is his final take - " Work diligently on creating artificial intelligence, but spend a lot of money and time building really good on/off switches for it. We need to be able to shut it down in an emergency." The article, start to end, reminded me of the movie 'I, Robot'. When I first got introduced to AI, my reaction was - Why are people trying to imitate their own species? The advent of technology took pace for it makes the lives of humans easier. Why not content with that? Why try to imitate our complex neural networks? Personally, l do not support the view of using artificially neural networked robots as housekeepers.
